Candidates enrolling in the CIPM USA CFP Course must complete two courses:

Electronic Market Strategy

What you should be able to accomplish by the end of this course:

1. Understand what the numbers really mean to stocks, bonds, rates, currencies and your lives.
2. Spot turning points in the economy in time to profit from them.
3. The meaning of “leading indicators” and decoding the jargon of initial unemployment claims, housing starts, the yield curve, and other predictors.
4. Understand foreign indicators and why they are important.
5. Make sense of indicators in conflict.
6. Find web and other resources for the latest economic data.

2. Entrepreneurial Finance

WHAT YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO ACCOMPLISH BY THE END OF THIS COURSE:
1. To understand the functions of entrepreneurial finance.
2. Review and understand concept plans for comprehensive analysis.
3. Develop business plans.
4. Understanding the roles of venture capitalists and their importance to new ventures.
5. Learning to promote a compelling business plan in a presentation to venture capitalists.
6. Plan for continuity of management.
7. Provide an understanding of the role of private equity in the economy, the structure of the industry, its participants, and the forces that shape its ongoing development.
8. Develop analytical and deal structuring techniques used in venture capital and buyouts. Interact with private equity

Applicants enrolling who have prior educational accomplishments in these areas may submit a resume and or other evidence of such courses for credit for prior learning. Others who have certificates such as CPA’S, FCIPM, or licensed securities agents, may also ask for prior learning credit.
